Katie Doucette, MSW
Partner

Moving. Excelling. Beyond Expectation.

Even the most seasoned and established organizations, executives and professionals must continually confront change, challenges and opportunities.

As a triathlete, Katie appreciates the exhilaration and rewards that come from committing to and engaging in practices that lead to extraordinary results. Katie supports the development of leaders at all levels to enhance their capacity in interpersonal relationships, strategic insight, wielding greater influence with important stakeholders and engaging others in times of change.

With over 25 years of professional experience in human motivation and behavior, Katie targets practices that improve performance and optimize the talents of her clients. In her forward-focused coaching sessions, she provides objective assessments and concrete tools leading to increased self-awareness of one’s impact as a leader.

The ultimate goal is translating those insights into greater personal and organizational effectiveness. In working with organizations, she takes into account the interconnecting systems and actively engages with critical stakeholders for success.

Her genuine and straightforward approach, challenging and insightful questions along with suggested resources take place within confidential conversations, creating an environment that allows the freedom to explore important issues.

She has a masters of Social Work degree from Syracuse University and extensive training in executive coaching and organizational consulting.

“Similar to an athlete or musician improving performance through practice and drills, clients can develop new skills to advance their careers — and to increase their profits and professional satisfaction.”

Katie’s highest goal is to unlock the enormous potential that lies within all of us.

Processes that support excellence

  • Development of plans that create momentum and actions. Plans identify concrete goals and establish metrics for accountability
  • On-going feedback within the sessions and with external stakeholders when indicated
  • Customized assessments to support goal setting and planning
  • Organizational assessments to establish critical junctures and involvement of key stakeholders in developing and implementing plans and actions
  • Accountability for progress with regular check-ins to track progress toward goals
  • Deep immersion talent development for executive and emerging nonprofit leaders that develop skills, values and behaviors for stronger organizational capacity

Assisting others to discover, develop and expand their potential is Katie’s life work. She has served on numerous boards and volunteers with nonprofits especially those who support academic and professional opportunities for inner-city youth. In addition to the joy she derives from her work and triathlons she relishes time with family and friends and traveling.
